Curly frizzy poofy dry hair with split ends??

i have curly frizzy poofy dry hair with split ends i just got it cut and i still have split ends. i dont mind the curls right after i shower but when i get out and i let it air dry itsa mess even if i use a mousse or gel nothing seems to work..

I used to straighten my hair everyday for a year but my hair stylist told me to stop..

what should i do to my hair so it looks nice without straightning or blowdrying??

and does anyone know any good hairstyles for my type of hair its medium length brown with some blond streaks

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair with split ends??

Try buying the shampoo and creame rinse for straight hair or sleek and smooth. It seems to have something in it that tames the hair down. Maybe that would help. They also have extra conditioning treatments...or even the hot oil treatments. If you just got it cut and still have split ends then you didn't get a good cut. Go to a GOOD hairdresser and get a good cut. It sounds like you've over stressed it. Just wear it back while you are conditioning it and take care of it until it can recover.

french braid it and than sleep with the braids in. this is a crimped look. i'd also change hair dressers

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair with split ends??

I have had similar hair to yours and when I couldn't get my hair under control, I used to put it up in a high ponytail and use lots of hairspray to keep it looking nice.

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair with split ends??

Sounds like I have the same hair except no split ends. I straighten mine and I seem to have no problems and I do not see that it is effecting my hair and making it worse. Anyways, I know that you said that gel and mousse don't work but this is what I do and it works pretty good. After I get out of the shower I just comb through my hair and then I instantly put on mousse, to all of my hair. I then put it up in a messy bun and let it sit (like while doing makeup or something). I then take it out and put gel in in it and put it in the style I want. Like when a head band or clips or something. After that put hairspray in your hair and make sure that you use a good amount. It is a lot of product but it looks good through out the day. It does get a little bigger once it drys all the way but it still looks good. It will be a little crunchy but I don't mind plus it smells really good all day. Good luck girl.

Get layers in it so it doesn't poof into a pyramid.

Also, it may be a little costly, but use a deep conditioner each time you wash. Just on the ends only. Blow dry with a diffuser attachment and some leave in conditioner. Some gel will also help to tame it, and the conditioner will reduce the split ends.

I have straight hair, and then the hair at the nape of my neck is dry and curly! It looks so weird sometimes, so while I can leave most of my hair alone, I have to tame that. It's ridiculous.

Unfortunately, you were born with the kind of hair that does need at least some minimal styling every day. (Trust me, I have YOUR hair, too!)

The "easiest" cut for you would be to go super-short, like a tight curly pixie cut. But this requires frequent haircuts and you might not like how it looks.

Next best bet is, with chin- to shoulder-length hair, to use some curl-enhancing spritz or styling gel and blow dry until just slightly damp, using a low setting and scrunching with your fingers while you bend over at the waist. After drying, finger-style your hair (or use a very wide-toothed comb, pick or brush) and finish with a very slight coat of wax or balm barely coating your fingers; run fingers through hair.

Either that or it's back to straightening every day!

Seek a hair salon ASAP.

Curlies should never use shampoo! It contains many drying ingredients and harsh detergents. Curly hair needs moisture because of the twists and turns in the strand. Use a conditioner and just conditioner wash instead. I use V05 moisture milks. You can use an expensive one if you want, but V05 works for me. Just make sure it is a moisturizing conditioner. Deep condition your hair (I do about once a month) with a moisturizing deep conditioner. The reason I am suggestiong these things is because from the sound of it, something you are doing to you hair is causing it to break. Use water (aqua) based products on your hair. Moisture is the key for curly hair, especially in the winter. Use a very modest amount of leave-in conditioner (I like Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine) every day. Try not doing too much to it. The less you do to hair, the better. Go to motowngirl.com for other tips. It is intended primarily for african american women, but there are tips for ANYONE with curly or kinky hair types.

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair with split ends??

you should try frizz-ease hair serum it works wonders and use deep conditioning conditioner for dry and damaged hair and try a leave in conditioner :) it should do the trick also now on the aisle you buy bottle of hair dye on they now sell just the conditioner they have in the hair dye packages separate from the hair dry thats the best stuff ever for shine, etc :) hope i have been of some help

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair with split ends??

This may sound odd, but ditch the shampoo and just use a cheap conditioner instead of shampoo, then use a moisturising conditioner afterwards. Conditioner has enough detergent in it to clean your hair without stripping out too much of the natural moisturising oils. Curly hair needs as much moisture as you can give it - and best of all you don't have to worry about your hair looking greasy because everyone presumes you have put hair product in it to help with your curls

Washing your hair too often doesn't help - with curly hair washing it once or twice a week is enough - you can rinse it with water the other times you are in the shower

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair with split ends??

Im hair dresser so seriously, listen to me...try TRESemme anti break shampoo, and dove moisturizing conditioner. What you need is hair products with lots of added protein in it. Use leave in conditioner after washing your hair. Try not to blow dry, or straighten your hair as much as possible, because it will cause it to dry out even more, and when its dry it splits. Also be very gentle with your hair especialy when brushing, that will also help the split ends. Also you should be useing garnier fructis 3 minute mask at least twice a week. Do all this, and in about a month, you should start noticing a huge differance.

well i'm not really a fan of miley cyrus, but i love her hair. you could wear your hair in styles simmilar(sp?) to hers. You could scrunch your hair. or for a dramatic effect straighten it all and either leave it, or finish it off with a poof or a head band with your side bangs in or out. or you could poof your hair and have two braids, or just two pony tails on either side of you head. you could also wear a low side ponytail. good luck!!

ps. poof howto- take side bangs, comb back, and take a little clip and secure on top of head. it should form a little "poof"

pps. heres a link to my friends fashion blog that has a how-to on scrunching http://red.blogs.aol.com/.fm/fashion_muc...

How do I prevent my roots from being greasy after I straighten my hair?

I have medium length blonde hair and I've just started straightening it. But, when i'm finished, my roots like greasy and oily (even if i've just showered and washed my hair). I've heard baby powder can help remove the greasy look, are there any other products or solutions to this problem?

How do I prevent my roots from being greasy after I straighten my hair?

Okay this is gonna sound weird but 2 words, Baby Powder! Just sprinkle it on your roots and TA-DAH beautiful non-greasy hair!

if you can get some, put talcon powder in your hands rub it together then run it through your hair i also have the same problem so i do this try it and see. x

How do I prevent my roots from being greasy after I straighten my hair?

Could this be because of the products you are using to straighten the hair? You don't need the products on the scalp.

How do I prevent my roots from being greasy after I straighten my hair?

Talcum powder is stupid.

Spritz your roots with hairspray, then comb them out, and they won't be greasy.

Also works on all around dirty hair, when you don't have time to wash it.

How do I prevent my roots from being greasy after I straighten my hair?

This happens to me as well, but I started using products called Dry Shampoo. You can get them at Wal-Mart I'm pretty sure - look near the hair dye/shampoos. I get mine from Mark. or Avon, however. If you would rather do that, go to www.meetmark.com, look in the hairstyling section, and it's called "Mega Volume Next Day Spray".

The trick is, spray it in, let it dry - even though it's going to make your hair look wet and separated wherever you sprayed it until the next step - and then comb it out. No one will ever know

How do I prevent my roots from being greasy after I straighten my hair?

Stop using Conditioner for awhile and dont shower with hot water, also wash your hair every other day . I recommend to put 1/2 tablespoon of BAKING SODA in your shampoo . The BAKING SODA gets rid of the greasy build up. It's one of moms recipe and it really works!!!!!!!

Brown hair growing in?

Alright. I have Dark brown hair that looks black most of the time but now it is coming out light brown like my grandfather had it. I have medium hair length. Should I get a buzzcut so that all the hairs will grow brown? How can I get all my hair to go brown without chopping it all off? I don't want to die it, because I'm a male and I think that's kind of gay. Plus, that would damage my hair in the long run.

Brown hair growing in?

You can buy lighteners in the hair dye/hair products aisle at the grocery store or drugstore. There are hair color change products specifically for guys, and there are more products out there now that are a temporary dye that almost more of a shampoo.

When I was a kid in Arizona, there used to be a particular brand of shampoo (I think Ms. Clairol or something like that) that you could put in your hair and it wrap in a towel, then go outside and sit in the sun for 15 minutes or so. The heat would activate something in the shampoo that would bleach out your hair. Now *that* could fry your hair if you overdid it. These days, the temporary dyes aren't likely to hurt your hair, especially if you're only using it for a while as your hair grows out.

Brown hair growing in?

I think it is really gross when guys have long hair, so i would get a buzz cut!

What are the best medium length haircuts?

are you serious?

What are the best medium length haircuts?

That's a very hard question to answer as you really need to find something that suits your face and your lifestyle.

My suggestion is to get a cut that is adaptable and can be worn in different styles (can be worn up or down etc) so you don't get bored with it.

What are the best medium length haircuts?

The best medium haircut for an oval face would have to be about 2 inches past the shoulders and have the hair angled, side bangs, layers, and have them razor it to (if you have curly hair it helps a lot). That's how my hair is and my face is like yours.

What are the best medium length haircuts?

I attached a couple cute hairstyles....didja know that

the oval face shape "is the 閳ユΤannabe閳?face shape, similar to the hourglass body shape. Oval face shapes are highly desired and envied. All other face shapes attempt to create the illusion of having an oval face. The oval face shape suits any hair style, including long, short, medium, layered, straight or even curly. Bangs can be added to emphasize the eyes or add a little change. Celebrities with oval face shape include: Jessica Alba, Charlize Theron, and Beyonce Knowles."

Im a guy with medium length long hair and my employer says I may have to cut it for the job - any guy ever face this issue - what did you do - my job is at the airport as a ticket agent - anyone with similar issues - should I do it or no

Hey - Any guys out there ever have to cut their hair for a job?

Yeah, back in 1970, but the redneck fired me anyway.

Hey - Any guys out there ever have to cut their hair for a job?

Every guy i worked with that had long hair just had to keep it washed and kept in a neat ponytail well at work. But i guess if they say cut it or i we will fire you then you need to decide what you want more the job or the hair. Honestly i don't think they can fire you for that unless you don't keep it neat and clean though. i hope everything works out for you good luck :)

Hey - Any guys out there ever have to cut their hair for a job?

I a not a guy who has had to cut his hair for a job. But I am a Human Resources Manager who has worked for a company with a very strict dress code and grooming policy.

If you don't want to cut your hair then look for another job. Otherwise cut it, but don't fight it. The company's policy is what it is. And nobody wants you to cut it, go to work and spend all day whining about how you had to cut your hair.

We all must make choices in life.

Hey - Any guys out there ever have to cut their hair for a job?

yeah go ahead and do it sounds like a good job. If you were applying for a bagger then id say Helll nah but u know u gotta do what u gotta do to make some cash. Ive had to shave my goatee completely but i just trimmed it and i had to come up with some agreement with the manager and it worked out. You can try that too get it just a bit shorter or use gel or something that changes the style and makes it look cleaner and they wont trip as much gurantee!
