I want to cut my mid back long hair to a medium length punk style ??

It seems like I've searched all over the net to find the right medium punk-ish hairstyle but the only thing I ever pull up seems to be 1980's stuff I do want a punkish do but something more up to date. I really need some kind of ideas...and really good ones it's hard enough to let go all of this hair! It's somewhat of my security blanket...Anyhow, Pictures would be great! or any ideas of any kind. Just for ideas, I normally keep my hair black, right now it's black with a dark mahogany fade down from my roots, I keep it straight, I'm really tan with hazel/green eyes and an oval roundish face. Just a fill in, in hopes of maybe someone getting some ideas off of that! Also, I was particularly looking for a choppy funky do...I'm all over the place with this sorry...any comments and pictures will do great! If you want to do it, do it. I'm actually considering chopping mine up to mid length, as well. It's mid-back length right now, and very boring, and those mid-length choppy cuts are very cute.

I told her I was a new mom and needed something that wouldn't take forever to style. I told her I'm athletic and I wear my hair up a lot, but I like to wear it down when I'm not working out. Then I told her that while I would like my son to eventually play soccer I'm NO SOCCER MOM!!! Meaning no cutesy simple bobs with no sultryness. I have tattoos! I said. Viola, medium length shag with long layers, flat ironed for maximum sex appeal. Wear your favorite outfit and discuss your lifestyle and fashion goals with your stylist. OH!! Research a high end salon that hires artists. A run of the mill barber isn't about tailoring your image. I pay 70 - 80 dollars for my haircuts. It's worth it.

I think it would look good with long layers on the top and tapered at the neck. Just ask for that, they will know what you mean. I was a cosmotolgist before I became a paramedic...seriously. That way you could still keep some length for the shaggy style thats in for guys, but it would be off your neck so you would look like you had a specific style.

Don't ask for a specific style....go to a good salon with a reputation for good hair dressing, and ask the stylist for a consultation before you decide what you want to do. You can

take along picutres that you've cut out of magazines to

show the stylist what appeals to you, and what doesn't.

If you don't like what the stylist tells you, or you feel

uncomfortable in any way, get up and leave. Don't allow

anyone that you aren't comfortable with to cut your hair.

A good stylist will take into account your face shape, hair type,

you should have it up in the back with a little piece in the front. and when i mean up in the back i mean like a curly straight king of look or you can get one side like twisted and the other side strainghten

Since you are African American, I'm guessing you have that nice shiny black hair that actually STAYS IN PLACE? aka the perfect hair for skating...lucky duck ! (unlike mine which never stays straight, much to my dismay..=(.) medium length hair is perfect ! wearing it down and curly or straight would be really cute, and maybe throw on a metallic silver headband or a thin black one, this will keep fly-away hair from getting in your face (its super annoying let me tell ya...) and will give you a stylish hairdo! If you want something up, try a messy bun (Of course you will spend 20 or so minutes making sure it looks good =] I know I do) haha but the point is that it looks natural. Guys like approachable girls! A cute messy knot would look super cute with a headband or a cute barette! A soft low set side ponytail with a pretty ribbon would also be very feminine, flowy,flirty and cute!

You can get it layered, and the they can "go back in" and thin it out. Especially at the ends, to make them fall in a breezy or sexy way. It will be easier to dry and style, plus look great!

but you can also rebond it. it makes your hair straighter and flatter, making it seem thinner at the same time.

if you don't want any trimming or whatever you can tie hairstyles like the french braids, that help your tail look thinner.

layers is not a good idea i have that same problem and i have layer and its still puffy so far i have been putting panetne comb in conditoner after i take a bath ( when its wet) then come it with my fingers and then after 15 min. cominging it with a brush and i have gotten go resulte but now im out of it and it looks thinner

get some sponge rollers and put them in your wet hair that you have put gel in tonight and take them out in the morning... It will be curly in the morning... if you have thick hair blow dry it a little first before bed...

you could try using a 3 barreler. they are $15 at walmart and $20 a shopko. you separate your hair into a top layer and a bottom layer and you take a 2 inch wide peice of hair and spray hairspray on it and 3 barrel it. if you want extremely wavy hair, use pump hair spray, if you want regular waves, use aerosol hairspray. its really easy when you get the hang of it, and i have shoulder length hair and it takes me 30 minutes to do mine.

Sorry I don't have any pictures but If you or maybe your mom has rollers you can put that in your hair when you go to bed! Sleep with it in and when you wake up your hair should be curly! Good Luck with picture day!!!!

But it in French pig tails. Have it a little damp. do the pig tails. Then in the morining take it out like 8 mins before u must leave. After u take it out put some hair spray or gel in it over top. Even mouse , just enough to get it to stay. Good Luck!

when i want my hair curly i use my curling iron but if you don't have one ask someone to braid your hair the night be for or braid you hair your self and sleep with your hair braided and in the morning all you got to do is take your braids out and if you don't like how it turned out than brush it and ware it another way
