sorry i dont have a pic but i have straight dark brown medium length hair w/ sidebangs and i was woundering if it would look better w/ highlights or should i just leave it? also if the answer is YES i should get them, then what color should they b?

Highlights can work wonders in brown hair.They add such great dimension and movement, when done right. I have kind of mousy medium brown hair, and I get highlights just a few shades lighter than my natural colour. It looks really natural but makes a world of difference!

I would say yes, get them, but not in a color totally different than your own, unless you're going for that edgy look. As I said earlier, get them one or two shades lighter than your natural shade.You should get your stylist to help you with this, because even though your hair is dark brown, it could be cool or warm toned, and this makes a difference when selecting shades.This way, it looks classy and natural, plus, you won't have to go to your stylist for a touch-up every 2 weeks.

yes you should totally get highlights. Sounds like you should get caramel and dark blond ones. It would look great on your hair. good luck

hello there. I find a lighter brown goes nice and is definately a safe bet a nice caramelloweey colour would be nice.

It just depends what thickness you would like the highlights to be. It's also a personal preference. Its hard to know what would suit you because I dont know your skin shade, or hair colour or your face shape. =(

yeah i think u should get highlights ..but dont get them too light. my friend has dark brown hair and she got honey coloured highlights and they just dont blend in at all and they look really odd. ask your hairdresser for a colour slightly lighter than your natural colour. good luck!!
